The Rock is finally on the mend. The actor and wrestler, whose real name is Dwayne Johnson, underwent emergency surgery Monday for three hernial tears he sustained on April 7 at WrestleMania. Johnson wrestled John Cena.
“In the middle of last night's Wrestlemania match I tore my abdomen & abductor muscles off the bone. Just part of the job," he tweeted at the time.
Johnson, 40, revealed his surgery Sunday on Twitter. "Saw my Dr. who had to push my intestines back through the tear in my abdomen. Kinda romantic. #Bringiton," he wrote.
On Monday he wrote, "Surgery a success! Dr. repaired 3 hernial tears (fun pain). Superman is on the mend.”
The operation forced Johnson to miss the Los Angeles premiere of his latest film Pain & Gain. The action/comedy film, which also stars Mark Wahlberg, Ed Harris and Rebel Wilson, hits theaters everywhere on April 26.
