Boxer Victor Ortiz and Bachelor star Sean Lowe faced off in the bottom two Tuesday night on Dancing with the Stars, and Lowe emerged the winner. Fan votes saved Lowe and knocked Ortiz out of the competition.
"I had a blast. I made great friends, including you guys, you beautiful people," Ortiz said, speaking about to hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet. "So at the end of the day it was a heck of an experience and hopefully, these beautiful people will follow me to my next championship bout. ... I'm happy to get this far. I definitely need some dance moves.”
Ortiz’s elimination came as no surprise as he and partner Lindsay Arnold consistently remained at the bottom of the scoreboard. After Tuesday’s show, Ortiz told People magazine he is okay with his elimination.
"I definitely feel like, hey, you know what? This journey's over for me. I'm going to focus on what I do again, which is boxing. The world championships are waiting, and I'm coming,” he said.
"I don't take back anything," added Arnold. "We've done so well and we've improved so much and grown so much.”
