Conor Maynard Headlines Kempton Racecourse’s Summer Calendar

Kempton Park's Summer Family Days Out

Kempton Park are proud to announce that chart topping sensation Conor Maynard will be gracing the famous racecourse with an exclusive live set on Saturday September 14th. The event looks set to draw in large crowds and plenty of the stars’ screaming fans for this fantastic one off gig.

Having recently completed a sellout tour headlining major venues that included Shepherd’s Bush Empire and the Royal Albert Hall, as well as playing on the bill at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball, Conor now turns his attention to the famous racecourse as part of the packed entertainment summer schedule the park has to offer in 2013. Fans will be able to enjoy the exclusive stage performance of all his top hits as well as watching live horse racing under the floodlights at the event, further adding to the excitement and value for money.

Conor has established himself as one of the most successful male solo artists in the UK at the moment, after a successful 2012 saw him top the album charts as well as releasing three top 10 singles, including the smash hit ‘Can’t Say No’. He is also well on his way to hitting the big time across the pond too.

Unknown until just a couple of years ago, the 20 year old heartthrob was spotted and picked up by American superstar recording artist and producer Ne-Yo after he was made aware of his popular YouTube channel. On the channel, the young aspiring star covered songs by Usher, Drake and Ne-Yo himself and rack up an incredible 135 million views.

Ne-Yo soon got in contact with Maynard and became his mentor, allowing him to pick up a major record deal with Parlophone records, a branch of the world famous EMI records, and become the major star he is today. He even picked up Best Newcomer at the 2012 MTV Awards.

Conor is excited by what this summer has to offer and can’t wait to get back to gigging. He said:

“Everything that has happened for far has been amazing but I’m not about to take my eye off the ball. Right now I’m getting ready for the next step I don’t want to trip myself up. This is the most exciting thing to happen to me and I don’t want it to stop.”

Phil White, general manager at Kempton Park Racecourse, said of the event:

“We are thrilled to welcome Conor to Kempton to play live on September 14th.

Conor is an exciting name for the future in the pop world. He is an artist with enviable talent but with an everyman manner. Someone who you want to see play live and then hang out with after the show.”

Kempton is London’s premier horse racing and entertainment venue, within easy reach of the capital and with Conor’s millions of fans worldwide, this looks sure to be a sellout event.
