Hugh Grant and Jemima Khan have decided to end their three-year relationship in what has been described as “an entirely amicable split” according to a spokesman for the two.
Grant has long been seen as Britain’s most recognizable bachelor but many felt that Khan would be the one to bring him to the altar. The daughter of billionaire Sir James Goldsmith, Khan has two children from her marriage to Imran Khan. The Pakistani cricket legend and Jemima were married in 1995 and divorced in 2004.
Jemima had just accompanied Grant on several openings of his new film “Music and Lyrics.” The film, starring Grant and Drew Barrymore, is currently number one at the UK box-office.
Hugh Grant dated Elizabeth Hurley for several years before they split in 2000. Grant is expected to attend Hurley’s May wedding in which she will be marrying Arun Nayar.
Hugh Grant won a BAFTA Award as well as a Golden Globe for best actor in 1994’s “Four Weddings and a Funeral.”
