Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) is amongst the top gainer in the early morning trade and soared 10.82% to $55.00 on massive volume of 4.53 million shares after announced that for fourth quarter of 2009, it expects revenue to be in the range of $440-$446 million, up from $431-$445 million, GAAP net income of $21-$26 million, unchanged from prior guidance and GAAP earnings per share (EPS) of $0.38-$0.47 per diluted share, up from $0.36-$0.44 per diluted share. For fiscal 2009, it expects revenue to be in the range of $1.666-$1.672 billion, up from $1.65-$1.67 billion, GAAP net income of $106-$111 million, up from $99-$109 million and GAAP EPS of $1.82-$1.90 per diluted share, up from $1.65-$1.82 per diluted share. Today the stock also created a new 52-week high at $57.50.
Senomyx Inc. (NASDAQ:SNMX) climbed 3.99% over its previous day’s price and now trades at $4.11 on an unusual volume of 453k shares. The stock announced that it has been notified by the Flavor and Extract Manufacturers Association (FEMA) that its sucrose enhancer, S6973, has been determined to be Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) under the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, administered by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
