Is the world ready for celebrity-branded marijuana? A member of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony believes so. Stanley "Flesh-N-Bone" Howse recently announced he is partnering with a company to create his own strain of medical marijuana.
Michigan Live recently reported that the musician has partnered with a Michigan-based medical marijuana facility to create a new strain of marijuana for patients in the area. The custom blend has been dubbed “Phifty Caliber Kush” and boasts a “distinct floral taste and works as an effective pain reliever.”
Smoking a star’s custom mix sounds just crazy enough to be the next big trend in Hollywood, but the name and description may call into question Howse’s true motives. Is this really for those in serious need of medical pain relief or for those who use medical marijuana laws to circumvent prohibitions on recreational use?
Michael “Tony B.” Bernardi, executive of business affairs for Flesh-N-Bone Global, said that Howse hopes the new strain can provide relief for qualified patients, and he's proud to be a part of a “paradigm shift in the culture” of medicinal marijuana. Are celebrity connections to medical marijuana the trend of the future? Does this encourage misuse or abuse? Only time will tell.
