After a loss in Game 4 against the Golden State Warriors Kenneth Faried got so mad he put a sizable hole in the wall just outside the door of the visitors’ locker room at Oracle Arena in Oakland. The hole is from the size 16 boat of a shoe worn by the power forward.
One thing that he, in his rage, probably did not take into consideration was the fact that he is still suffering from a sprained left ankle and kicking huge holes in the walls of an arena is not the best idea for someone in his physical condition. The injury knocked him out of the last two regular season games and has been affecting him in these last four.
Either way, this is not likely to subside as Faried has been mad at his health and his opponents for most of this series. What’s worse, he is now mad at the current situation that he and his team now find themselves. Losing the full power in his legs has seriously frustrated Faried, but he has vowed to fight through it and hope for the best.
The future of the hole is still up for debate. They could easily repair it before the next game, or they could memorialize it like the unforgettable fellow hole in the wall caused by Dallas Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki after losing to the Warriors in the first round of the 2007 postseason.
