Earthquake Strikes Off Indonesian Coast, Tsunami Alert Withdrawn

A magnitude 7.3 earthquake has struck off the coast the Indonesia leading authorities to issue a tsunami alert, an alert that was later withdrawn. According to officials the quake struck too deep for it to trigger a tsunami.

The tremor was said to have hit near the Maluku islands east of East Timor in the Banda Sea.

There have been no reports of death or injury.
