College Football Scores: #19 Ohio State Buckeyes, Terrelle Pryor, Bounce Back to Crush Minnesota Gophers

Terrelle Pryor passed for 239 yards and a touchdown and added 104 yards and a TD on the ground, DeVier Posey had 161 yards receiving and two TDs and Jermil Martin rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown as the #19 Ohio State Buckeyes (6-2, 4-1) bounced back from a devastating loss last week and crushed the Minnesota Golden Gophers (4-4, 2-3) 38-7 in Big Ten action on Saturday.

Ohio State didn’t exactly come out firing and after a scoreless first quarter the Buckeyes fans were clearly getting restless but Pryor put them at ease early in the second quarter when he hooked up with Posey on a 62-yard touchdown pass for a 7-0 lead, an advantage they would hold until the half.

That lead was extended to 14-0 early in the third quarter when Pryor scored on a 15-yard run and seven minutes later the Buckeyes were celebrating again following an 11-yard touchdown run from Jordan Hall. Ohio State wasn’t done though as Pryor continued his impressive third quarter with another long TD toss to Posey, this time a 59-yarder and the Buckeyes went into the fourth quarter leading 28-0.

Jermil Martin extended the advantage to 35-0 in the opening minutes of the final frame when he scored on a 39-yard run and Aaron Pettrey’s 44-yard field goal pushed the Buckeyes lead to 38-0. Minnesota’s offense never could get anything going against the Ohio State defense but they eventually found the endzone against the second-team as Troy Stoudermire Jr. caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from MarQueis Gray for the Gophers only points.

Minnesota turned the ball over four times and converted just 1-10 third down opportunities.
