Somer Thompson Funeral Planned for Tuesday

A viewing for Somer Thompson is planned for Monday night, followed by a Tuesday morning funeral. After the burial, mourners plan to launch thousands of purple balloons in memory of Somer, who was found dead in a Georgia landfill last Thursday.

Somer, 7, disappeared on Monday, October 19 while walking home from school in Orange Park, Florida. Authorities have not released her cause of death. Investigators are still looking for Somer’s killer.
