Lindsay Lohan doesn’t think her latest court-ordered rehab stint will do her much good. The actress, who has previously checked into rehab 6 times, tells Piers Morgan in a new interview for Event magazine that sending her to rehab for 90 days is “pointless.”
"I don't think I need to be on lockdown for three months. I don't think that's rehab," she tells Morgan. "Constantly sending me to rehab is pointless. The first few times I was court-ordered to rehab it was like a joke, like killing time."
Lohan thinks her time would be better spent working with children in other countries. "I think there are other things I could do instead of going to a rehab center that would benefit me more," she says. "The best thing they could do for me would be to make me go abroad to different countries and work with children."
The 26-year-old, who was arrested twice in 2007 for DUI and cocaine possession, says she is not an alcoholic and has never been addicted to cocaine. While Lohan admits to using marijuana, prescription drugs and ecstasy, she claims she is not a “huge drinker” and only used cocaine a total of “four or five times.” "I took it four times in a period from about the age of 20 to 23, and I got caught twice. …I just should have known that being in the public eye, someone was bound to say something or try to make some money off it,” she says of her cocaine use.
"I’ve never been a junkie, and never will be,” Lohan adds. “I just like going out late to clubs with friends and listening to music. Always have done. It’s not that unusual for girls of 26!"
