Just because her sisters are having children doesn’t mean Khloe Kardashian is desperate to start a family herself. The reality star, who has admitted to having fertility problems, tells the new issue of Redbook that she is in no rush to have a baby with her husband of nearly 4 years, NBA star Lamar Odom, and does not begrudge her sisters’ pregnancies. Oldest sister Kourtney Kardashian is mom to 3-year-old Mason and 10-month-old Penelope with longtime love Scott Disick, while middle sister Kim Kardashian is currently pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Kanye West.
"Please. People want to assume that I'm devastated. I couldn't be happier," she says of Kourtney and Kim’s children.
Although she is often frustrated by false rumors, Khloe says she understands why people would think she is hurt by her sisters’ pregnancies. "I actually got mad at Kourtney because she was afraid to tell me at first,” Khloe says of Kourtney’s second pregnancy. “So I get why people think I'm hurt, because my own sister thought I would be."
“People assume I'm desperate for a baby. And yes, I would love to have a baby. But I'm 28, and I've been married three and a half years. I love my life, but it doesn't feel incomplete right now,” explains Khloe.
As for her fertility problems, Khloe says it involves her “hormones being off.” She started treatments for the issue but stopped because the “timing was just off.” "I was taking hormone shots to stabilize them, and you have to take those shots consistently and they have to be done by a doctor. You can do them yourself, but I couldn't," she reveals. "And then after your cycle, you have to go to the doctor for ultrasounds and more testing. And if I'm in Miami and miss a treatment, I have to start all over again. It's a commitment, and I don't mind doing it, but the timing was just off."
