American Idol Lands Jennifer Lopez as Star Performer
American Idol has reportedly scheduled the multi-talented Jennifer Lopez to perform on their April 11 show.
Jennifer Lopez has sold over 48 million albums world-wide and has five singles that have hit number one in the U.S. Lopez, 37, is also the first artist to debut an album at number one while having the number one movie at the box-office at the same time. She accomplished that feat with her album J. Lo and the movie, The Wedding Planner.
American Idol is down to the final 24 contestants, 12 men and 12 women, each looking to achieve the same success as former winners Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino and Taylor Hicks.
