Rachael Leigh Cook and her husband of 9 years, Vampire Diaries actor Daniel Gillies, will become parents this year! Cook, 33, has confirmed she is pregnant with their first child together. The baby is due this fall.
“Thanks for the love you guys,” the actress tweeted after her pregnancy was announced.
“Thank you everyone. We are delighted,” Gillies wrote.
Cook, 33, tells Us Weekly magazine she has had a hard time keeping her growing baby bump under wraps while filming the upcoming season of Perception. "I've been hiding my rapidly growing bump while shooting but this kiddo is vying for screen time," she jokes. "We clearly have a future actor on our hands."
“A lot of people are asking whether I'd prefer a boy or a girl,” adds Gillies, 37. “In truth, it doesn't matter to me -- I just can't wait to meet little Keanu Robocop."
The couple can be seen together in the upcoming Showtime movie Broken Kingdom. The drama, directed and produced by Gillies, is set to debut on May 15. Cook can then be seen on Perception when the second season premieres on TNT on June 25. Gillies is set to reprise his role as Elijah Mikaelson for the Vampire Diaries spinoff The Originals.
