New Dates for The Police Tour Announced, Madison Square Garden Sells Out in 14 Minutes
Coming off their recent announcement that they would tour once more, The Police have added additional dates to their stops in California and New York. Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland will perform in Oakland on June 13 and Los Angeles on June 23, they also added Giants Stadium in East Rutherford as an additional site on August 5 after their two shows at Madison Square Garden sold out in 14 minutes.
The Police also announced that the Foo Fighters will be taking a supporting role during their Los Angeles date.
In addition to their New York sell-outs, The Police have already sold out their two shows at Fenway Park in Boston on July 28 and 29. Their two shows in Toronto on July 23 and 24 have also sold out.
Tickets for the Oakland show are scheduled to go on sale Feb. 25, the LA and East Rutherford tickets will be available to the public on Feb. 26.
The Police will also be headlining the Bonnaroo Festival in Memphis Tenn. on June 16.
