Just in time for soon-to-be and recent college graduates, Clarity, a highly respected recruiting firm in Manhattan, announces plans for future mock interview workshops after receiving positive feedback from their April session.
With extensive knowledge in recruiting and hiring, Clarity staff members offer their candidates with a variety of tools to prepare them for the job search. Clarity provides job seekers with an online forum called “Ask Anne” where candidates can get their questions personally answered, a wide network of job postings and now their newest service—mock interview workshops. Clarity has plans to add other offerings to candidates for interview prep including; how to dress for an interview, pre and post interview guidance and resume workshops.
One of the most crucial aspects to the job search process is the interview. Some of the most qualified candidates with immaculate resumes are passed over because they may not have known how to practice and prepare. Many colleges and career centers offer mock interviews but the ones at Clarity are a step above the rest because this is what they are experts in—pairing the right candidates with the right position at the right company.
At Clarity’s mock interview workshop, candidates practice their interview skills while working one-on-one with Clarity staff members then receives valuable feedback and tips. Participants are then encouraged to practice networking with one another, which is sometimes just as important as the interview itself.
“A big reason why candidates have a hard time getting jobs is because they reach a point where they are so discouraged that they come off negative in the interview; mainly because of what is happening outside of the interview like not getting called back or not getting in touch with the right people and rarely reaching the actual interview point,” said Julie Murray, Recruiting Coordinator at Clarity. “Giving candidates an open door to this session gives them the opportunity to work for it and feel better about themselves instead of sitting around and hoping something works out. They can get feedback and the session gives them more hope along with constructive criticism, getting pointed in the right direction, ultimately have a different outlook, which can overall positively affect the way they are perceived by an interviewer.”
Below are quotes from attendees:
“Extremely useful seminar!! It helped with skills I definitely needed to refine. Very thought provoking. The staff were so nice and so helpful. Very positive experience!!”
“I was so pleased I was able to participate; it really gave me insight and perspective on what I need to do to really be informed about how to present myself in the best light and let my attributes shine as I go on the process of beginning interviews for new positions.”
Those interested in participating Clarity’s next mock interview workshop are encouraged to check back on their blog or Facebook page for updated information.
