Manu Ginobili scored 40 points and grabbed 8 rebounds while Tim Duncan added 30 points and 9 boards to lift the San Antonio Spurs (37-18) past the Atlanta Hawks (21-33) 103-96. The Spurs shot 90 percent from the foul-line while the Hawks struggled from the charity stripe, shooting just 21-35 for 60 percent. Joe Johnson led the Hawks with 30 points.
Jermaine O’Neal scored 29 points and pulled down 15 rebounds and Danny Granger dropped 26 points as the Indiana Pacers (29-24) beat the Milwaukee Bucks (19-36) 136-129 in double-overtime. The Pacers held a 13 rebound advantage over the Bucks and shot 54 free-throws in the game. Michael Redd led Milwaukee with 38 points.
Kyle Korver scored 31 points and Andre Miller added 19 to lead the Philadelphia 76ers (18-36) past the New York Knicks (24-31) 104-84. The Knicks led 22-18 after the first period but Philly responded with a 35-16 second quarter to take control of the game. The Sixers closed the game in the fourth with a 30-17 quarter. Eddy Curry led the Knicks with 22 points.
Anderson Varejao scored with 15 seconds left to give the Cleveland Cavaliers (32-22) an 86-85 victory over the Toronto Raptors (29-25). Varejao finished with 16 points and 15 rebounds while LeBron James added 29 points in the Cavs win. Chris Bosh led the Raptors with 24 points and 10 rebounds.
Chris Webber and Richard Hamilton each scored 18 points to lead the Detroit Pistons (34-19) past the struggling Orlando Magic (27-28) 110-88. Detroit shot 52 percent from the floor and forced the Raptors into 22 turnovers in the game. Chauncey Billups finished with 17 points and 7 assists for the Pistons. Dwight Howard led the Magic with 26 points and 15 rebounds.
The NO/Oklahoma City Hornets (26-29) overcame a five point deficit heading into the fourth quarter to beat the New Jersey Nets (25-30) 111-107. David West scored 32 points and grabbed 8 rebounds while Chris Paul added 19 points and 11 assists in the Hornets win. Vince Carter scored 46 points in the Nets loss.
The Charlotte Bobcats (21-33) rallied from a 17 point deficit to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves (25-29) 100-95. Adam Morrison scored 26 points and Emeka Okafor had 12 points and 19 boards in the win. Morrison hit 10-19 from the field including 4-7 from beyond the three-point line. Kevin Garnett led the Wolves with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Tracy McGrady scored 32 points and dealt 8 assists while Dikembe Mutombo grabbed 13 rebounds as the Houston Rockets (34-19) beat the Miami Heat (26-27) 112-102. Houston shot 15-30 from the three-point line and finished the night at 50 percent from the field. Dwyane Wade left the game in the fourth quarter after injuring his left shoulder attempting to steal the ball from Shane Battier. Shaquille O’Neal had 20 points and 16 boards for the Heat.
Amare Stoudemire scored 32 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Steve Nash had 14 points and 12 assists as the Phoenix Suns (41-13) beat the Boston Celtics (13-40) 118-108. Leandro Barbosa split time with Nash and scored 26 points and Shawn Marion added 17 points and 11 boards in the win. Al Jefferson led the Celtics with 23 points and 17 rebounds.
Stephen Jackson scored 26 points and handed out 12 assists while Andris Biedrins scored 21 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as the Golden State Warriors (26-29) beat the Mmemphis Grizzlies (14-42) 118-115. Al Harrington and Monta Ellis each scored 22 points for the Warriors. Mike Miller set a Grizzlies franchise record with 45 points in the loss.
Jarrett Jack scored 30 points and dished out 7 assists and Zach Randolph added 22 points and 9 rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers (24-32) beat the Los Angles Lakers (30-25) 112-108. Portland shot 59 percent from the floor in the game. Kobe Bryant finished with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the loss.
