Judge Larry Seidlin expressed his belief that the body of Anna Nicole Smith belonged next to her deceased son in the Bahamas. Fighting back tears and pausing on several occasions before signing his ruling, Seidlin ruled that Richard Milstein, the guardian of Anna Nicole's daughter, be granted disposition of Anna Nicole Smith’s body. Stating that Anna Nicole Smith had lived her entire life under a microscope, Seidlin commented that he had already felt the weight of the spotlight in the short time he dealt with the matter.
It will now be up to Milstein to work with the three parties involved to determine the burial of Smith. After his ruling Seidlin said that his work in the case was done. Mentioning several times that he had completed his work in the matter it appeared in some manner that Seidlin didn’t want to let go.
Rather than just read his ruling or leave after his decision Seidlin remained and gave long answers to short questions, going on about his beliefs in opening the courtroom for public use and thanking the attorneys and police officers of Broward County.
