The 24-year-old singer who celebrated her Q Award win for Best Track for single 'The Fear' at a pub with rockers The Cribs and Edwyn Collins after the London ceremony on Monday (26.10.09) insists you would take the fun out of life if you never got intoxicated.
The Not Fair star is quoted by Britain’s Daily Star newspaper as saying: Why the hell would you give up booze? No drinking until Christmas, yeah right? Drink and class A drugs that’s what life’s all about.
Lily also revealed her new man Sam Cooper - who attended the star-studded ceremony with her is putting a smile on her face.
She said: Everything is great. I'm really happy - he makes me really happy. We're having a good time."
Lily has previously admitted she partied a little too hard when she first shot to fame in the pop world.
She said: If you’d come to my place two years ago, I wouldn’t have been up before midday.
There would have been half-empty vodka bottles everywhere, drugs, whatever. But loads of people take drugs and then get up and work, you can never say never.
