General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) Electric Boat has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Navy for management and support of nuclear-submarine work for submarines homeported at the Naval Submarine Base in Groton. The contract is valued at $25 million. If all options are exercised over three years the contracts potential value could be $78 million. Electric Boat will continue to operate the Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department at the submarine base.
