JoAnna Garcia is officially a mom! The actress welcomed a baby girl this week with husband Nick Swisher. The baby’s birth was revealed Tuesday when Swisher was placed on paternity leave by the Cleveland Indians.
No other details about the baby’s birth were immediately available. Garcia, 33, announced her pregnancy last November on Twitter. "Nick and I are expecting our first baby in 2013! Feeling so blessed and beyond excited!" she wrote.
Swisher also revealed the news on Facebook. “We are expecting a little Swisher in the spring of 2013! Words can't describe how blessed we feel to be expanding our family and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new addition. Your support and kindness has meant so much to us throughout the years and we wanted to personally share the news with you all,” wrote the first baseman.
The couple later confirmed they were expecting a daughter. In an interview earlier this month, Swisher said he was “so excited” about having a girl. “I never in a million years thought I'd have a little girl, but over the last six months, the pink and purple dresses that I've bought, I'm telling you. . . My wife, Jo, she says, 'You're going to spoil that little girl so much.' I can't wait, man," he told Ben Lyon. "I talk to her every night. Jo and I, we're so excited to meet her and to bring her in the world and give her a whole lot of love."
