Markell Clay, R&B artist, announced via his twitter this morning, that he is releasing two new singles back to back this week ‘To See You' and ‘Dancing on the Moon‘ from his new album ‘To See You', set to hit stores across the nation tomorrow.
Critics have called Clay, this generations Peabo Bryson, with a soft soulful flow that appeals to all demographics.
Fans have anxiously awaited his new album. Markell, who took the indie charts by storm with his earlier hit ‘Know It', quickly developed a dedicated fan base overnight.
"My life is all about the music" shares Clay, "I thank G-d for giving me the platform and the talent he has, and my fans for supporting me along this journey, this album is for them", and Markell continued as we caught up with him to chat about his new album.
Clay first gained notoriety back in 2010, when he appeared on the hit show, BET's 106 & Park, and killed the show.
The newbie Markell Clay has caught the ear of record executives, whom have compared him to Chris Brown and Usher. Clay, besides having a similar swag as Brown, also shares the same hometown state of Virginia, besides the fact that Clay is doing things the right way, putting out hit after hit, staying on his grind in a positive way, industry executives are defiantly taking notice in his drive and determination to become number one.
