Amanda Bynes' recent bizarre behavior came to a head Thursday night when she was arrested at her New York City apartment. Bynes, 27, has not commented.
According to reports, the former child star was taken into custody for marijuana possession, reckless endangerment and tampering with evidence after apartment personnel caught her smoking in the lobby. Bynes reportedly threw a bong out of her 36th floor window when police officers arrived. She was taken to Roosevelt Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation before being booked at a nearby police station.
Photographers snapped pictures of Bynes being led out of the police station after her arrest. She appeared disheveled with a scraggly blonde wig and little makeup. See a photo in the picture gallery below.
This is not Bynes’ first run-in with the law. Her driver’s license was suspended last year following a drunk driving charge and two hit-and-run charges.
Bynes is perhaps best known for starring on the Nickelodeon shows "All That" and "The Amanda Show." Her film credits include "What a Girl Wants," "She’s The Man," "Hairspray" and "Easy A."
