TSRA ,PAR,OPWV - Biggest Losing Technology Stocks

Tessera Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSRA) was among the active losers in today`s trading session as it plunged over 17.68% to close at $22.11 on huge volume of over 5.23 million shares after the company yesterday announced its results for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2009. Total revenues were $66.1 million. Micro-electronics revenue was $59.1 million. Imaging & Optics revenue was $7.0 million.

3PAR Inc. (NYSE:PAR) plunged $1.28or 11.97% to close at $9.41 on a volume of over 2.25 million shares after the company today reported results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2010, which ended September 30th, 2009. Revenue for the second quarter was $46.1 million, an increase of 2% compared to revenue of $45.1 million for the same period a year ago and 4% compared to $44.5 million in the prior quarter, which ended June 30th, 2009. For the second quarter of fiscal 2010, GAAP net loss was $758,000, or ($0.01) per share, compared to $1.2 million, or ($0.02) per share, for the same period in the prior year.

Openwave Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:OPWV) was also the active loser in today’s trading session and fell 17.45% to end the day at $2.27 on volume of over 2.06 million shares after Openwave Systems, Inc. announced yesterday that it expects fiscal 2010 revenue to be at the same level as fiscal 2009. The Company reported revenues of $191.70 million in fiscal 2009. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts are expecting the Company to report revenues of $193.50 million for fiscal 2010.
