Chrissy Teigen can’t seem to stay out of trouble on Twitter. Two weeks after slamming Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham on Twitter, the model has engaged in a brief exchange with troubled actress Amanda Bynes.
The heated exchange started with Teigen, 27, slamming anyone who has “condoned” the actions that led to Bynes’ arrest last week for drug possession, reckless endangerment and tampering with evidence. Bynes was accused of smoking marijuana in the lobby of her apartment building and then throwing a bong out a 36th floor window when officers arrived to arrest her. She was taken to Roosevelt Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation before authorities booked her at a nearby jail.
"The fact that Amanda Bynes has any 'support' to retweet is really unsettling," Teigen tweeted Tuesday. "Support people with mental illness, yes. But don't condone/enable scary and poor behavior."
Bynes, 27, fired back with a lengthy tweet in which she declared that Teigen was an “old ugly model.” “Chrissy Teigen, you're not a pretty model compared to me. I signed to Ford models at age 13. I don't look up to you beauty wise. I'm far prettier than you!" she wrote. "I'm offended that you're saying I have a mental illness when I show no sign of it, but thankfully not one man that wants me wants you and you are an old ugly model compared to me! You look 45! You're not pretty so I'm not intimidated by you! I think you're jealous that you're just an ugly model who's career is uninspiring! I don't respect you! You're no beauty queen! I'm a beauty queen!"
"Nope. Not going to indulge. Wish the best for her, truly,” Teigen responded.
She also encouraged her followers to not engage Bynes with any additional messages. "Don't, guys. Just don't," Teigen added. "I never ask anything of you guys but please. I don't need defending and please stop writing her. It's not funny, it's sad."
