College Football Scores: #17 Ohio State Buckeyes Blast New Mexico St, Roll Up 559 Yards of Offense

Terrelle Pryor threw for 135 yards and a touchdown and added 83 yards and a score on the ground, Jordan Hall collected 93 yards rushing on just 11 carries and Dane Sanzenbacher had 72 yards receiving and a pair of TDs as the #17 Ohio State Buckeyes (7-2) rolled over the New Mexico State Aggies (3-6) 45-0 on Saturday.

After a scoreless first quarter the Buckeyes exploded in the second frame and it was Pryor who put the first points on the board as the quarterback crossed the goal line on an 8-yard keeper for a 7-0 advantage. Less than two minutes later that lead was extended to 14-0 as Pryor hit Sanzenbacher on a 19-yard TD toss.

The Buckeyes pushed their lead to 21-0 using a bit of trickery as wide receiver DeVier Posey tossed a 39-yard touchdown pass to Sanzenbacher and with less than a minute left in the half Brandon Saine found the endzone on a 3-yard run to give Ohio State a 28-0 lead at the break.

It didn’t get any better for New Mexico State in the third quarter as the Buckeyes boosted their advantage to 31-0 on a 29-yard field goal from Devin Barclay and minutes later it was 38-0 as Brian Rolle recovered a fumble in the endzone. Daniel Herron would finish off the scoring for the Buckeyes on a 53-yard touchdown run in the closing seconds of the third quarter.

The Aggies were just completely overmatched on Saturday as their offense managed just 62 total yards and two first downs compared to 559 yards of offense for the Buckeyes and 24 first downs.
