Russian Cargo Plane Crashes, All 11 Crew Members Killed

A Russian cargo plane returning to the air after delivering its shipment crashed shortly after takeoff, killing all 11 crew members.

 

According to reports the plane had just taken off after unloading its cargo at the Mirnyi airport when it went down about 15 miles away in a desolate area of the Yakutia region. There were no reports of injuries on the ground but the bodies of all eleven crew members were recovered from the crash site.

 

An investigation into the crash has been launched by the Russian Interior Ministry.
