Jamal Crawford buried a three-pointer with 20 seconds left remaining in the fourth quarter to give the New York Knicks (26-32) a four point lead as they went on to a 99-93 victory over the Miami Heat (27-29).
With the Knicks up 94-92 Shaquille O’Neal went to the line looking to tie the score. O’Neal missed his first shot before hitting the second. Crawford came down the court and hit the three to put the score at 97-93 and then iced the game with a pair of free-throws with 8 seconds left.
Eddy Curry finished with 28 points and 11 rebounds and Stephon Marbury added 25 points. Crawford scored 20 points and shot 3-5 from three-point range.
Shaquille O’Neal finished with 20 points but didn’t do much on the glass, grabbing 3 rebounds. Jason Kapono led the Heat with 24 points.
