Encore Acquisition Company (NYSE:EAC) made a new high at $46.36 and now up 22.28% and trades at $45.33. EAC and Denbury Resources Inc. (NYSE: DNR) (“Denbury”) jointly announced that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement pursuant to which Denbury will acquire Encore in a transaction valued at approximately $4.5 billion, including the assumption of debt and the value of the minority interest in Encore Energy Partners LP (NYSE:ENP). Protalix BioTherapeutics Inc. (AMEX:PLX) moved up 6.43% to $10.09 and made a new 52-wek high at $10.16 after Reuters reported that, according to The Marker financial newspaper, Pfizer is considering a cooperation deal with Protalix BioTherapeutics Inc. and may even try to buy the Company.
Rocky Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ: RCKY) hits a new 52-week high at $9.00 in today’s morning trade. Currently the stock is trading at $8.92, up 7.31%. So far this year RCKY is up over 110%.
