NBA Scores: Carmelo Anthony Leads Denver Nuggets Past the Memphis Grizzlies.
After losing four straight to Minnesota, San Antonio, Utah and Dallas, the Memphis Grizzlies (15-43) were exactly what the Denver Nuggets (27-28) need, as they snapped their skid 111-107. Carmelo Anthony finished with 33 points and 6 rebounds while Marcus Camby nabbed 13 boards in the win.
It could have been a different outcome but Memphis struggle from the line late in the game and Camby had a key block on a Paul Gasol shot to keep the Nuggets in front. Gasol missed three of four free-throw attempts in the last three minutes of the game and Steve Blake hit a big jump shot and iced the game with a pair from the line to get Denver the win.
Allen Iverson finished with 25 points and 9 assists in the win.
Gasol and Mike Miller each had 21 points for the Grizzlies but Memphis shot just 64 percent from the charity stripe as they lost their fourth out o ftheir last five games.
