Dirk Nowitzki finished with 27 points and 8 rebounds while Jason Terry added 21 points against his former club as the Dallas Mavericks (47-9) pounded the Atlanta Hawks (22-35) 110-87.
The win was the Mavericks 12th straight and 20th straight home win, a franchise record. Dallas was sharp all night as they hit 53 percent from the floor, including 50 percent from beyond the three-point arc. The Mavericks took care of the ball as well committing just six turnovers in the game.
Jerry Stackhouse added 19 points and 9 assists in the win but had to leave the game in the fourth quarter with a sprained right ankle.
Joe Johnson led the Hawks with 29 points
