Inmet Mining Corporation (TSX: IMN) has appointed Jochen Tilk to President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to the appointment Mr. Tilk held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer. He has been employed with Inmet for over 21 years and has filled a number of senior executive roles. The Board of Directors of Inmet have accepted the retirement of Richard Ross, the current Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Ross will remain Chairman until December 31, 2009 to facilitate the transition.
