It’s going to be a baby girl for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The couple revealed the gender of their first child on Sunday night’s season premiere of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. West was not present for the gender reveal, but Kim was accompanied by mom Kris Jenner and sisters Kourtney and Khloe.
“I’m thinking it’s a girl,” Kim’s doctor, Paul Crane, said at her 19-week checkup.
Kim, 32, said West would be ecstatic. “I’m so excited we’re having a girl. Who doesn’t want a girl? I think they are the best,” she said. “I know that’s really what Kanye has always wanted — he wanted a little girl.”
In a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest last week, Khloe explained why West missed the appointment. “The baby was always in a position where you couldn’t tell the sex, and this time that you’re going to see on the show, [Kanye] was in London or Paris,” Khloe revealed. “He had a concert.”
The baby is due in July. Kim and her family celebrated over the weekend with a baby shower in Beverly Hills. Guests included Kelly Osbourne, Maria Menounos and NeNe Leakes.
