Expeditors International of Washington (NASDAQ:EXPD) said Tuesday that its third-quarter profit fell 33% to $57.7 million, or 27 cents a share, from $85.6 million, or 39 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue for the transportation company declined to $1.04 billion from $1.56 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet Research were looking for a profit, on average, of 29 cents a share on revenue of $1.01 billion.
EXPD is currently down 4.50% at $31.94.
