Jason Kidd finished with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and Vince Carter added 27 points as the New Jersey Nets (28-30) beat the Washington Wizards (31-24) 113-101.
The Nets set a franchise record hitting 16 three-pointers in the game to offset their limited ability to score down low. Kidd finished 6-9 from downtown and he was helped with a complemented by Bostjan Nachbar and Eddie House who each had three triples off the bench.
New Jersey was trailing 86-85 with just over nine minutes remaining in the game when House hit a three to give them a lead and start a 13-3 run that opened up some breathing room. The victory was the third straight for New Jersey who are looking to grab a spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Gilbert Arenas led Washington with 26 points while Jarvis Hayes had a season high 21 points and 9 rebounds in the loss. The Wizards were playing without All-Star Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison who are both out with injuries.
