Passenger Train Collides with Freight Train in Pakistan, at least Ten Killed

At least ten people have been killed and several more left injured after the driver of a passenger train missed a stop sign and slammed into a parked freight train at a station in Pakistan.

While reports have suggested the driver missed the stop sign there were witnesses that said the stop sign was not in working order and it was likely the driver never knew he was supposed to stop. Pakistan has a history of problems maintaining its aging rail system and accidents are common.

According to officials the death toll could rise as rescue crews continue to cut through the metal cars to reach the victims.
