Summer Academic Program Announced for Loyola Marymount in 2010
A major summer education camp in the U.S. announced today that it is adding a second college location in Los Angeles for its 2010 summer program.
SuperCamp, one of the world's leading learning and life skills academic summer camps, will be held at Loyola Marymount College next summer for the first time. LMU will host one of SuperCamp's teen summer camps July 22-31. Students who are entering grades 9-12 in fall 2010 are eligible to attend this program.
The addition of Loyola Marymount brings to three the number of Southern California locations for SuperCamp in 2010. Along with LMU, SuperCamp will be held at UCLA and at Cal State San Marcos in San Diego.
"We've always had a large number of students attend our summer academic programs from Southern California," said SuperCamp president, Bobbi DePorter. "We're very excited by the additions of LMU and UCLA this year because it gives families a number of options both in terms of locations and dates."
In addition to its 10-day teen summer programs, SuperCamp operates a 7-day middle school academic camp for students entering grades 6-8 in the fall and an 8-day Quantum U program for students entering or already in college.
SuperCamp is in its twenty-ninth year of providing learning and life skills training to students. Over 53,000 students have graduated from the program in that time. Studies with over 6,000 graduates report increases in grades, confidence and motivation for the majority of SuperCamp participants.
More information on the programs, dates and locations is available at the company's website and by calling 800-285-3276.
