The Balancing Act kicks off an entire series dedicated to the American family and the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. You won’t want to miss out! Just tune in to The Balancing Act as they welcome American Greetings Corporation November 5th-- airing on Lifetime Television at 7:30 a.m. (Eastern/Pacific—check your local listings).
What’s a holiday, without traditions? Growing up, one tradition stands out for me was using greeting cards to wish friends and loved ones a happy holiday. Come on… who doesn’t like to get a card? They not only appeal to your emotions-- they also show off your own personality.
The Balancing Act is pleased to welcome Rochelle Lulow, Creative Director for American Greetings to the show. Rochelle, along with The Balancing Act are going to talk about useful hints and tips. They’re also going to offer up suggestions on making every occasion more enjoyable, creative, and even affordable!
Rochelle gives some great ideas surrounding American Greetings traditional paper cards. Rochelle says, “You can use them to decorate your house during the holidays. Everyone remembers the last time they received a heartfelt note from a friend, and it makes us feel special and loved. Why not give that great feeling back? The impact to your relationship will be long-lasting. Words are free! Cards are story tellers, and it shows that you gave thought to it”.
Even if you don’t know what to write, Rochelle adds, “Think of stage setters (music, experiences, photo’s). Remember that no masterpiece was written on the first try, so do a rough draft first on a separate piece of paper. Select a nice pen and a great card—and take your time with your penmanship”.
Many people find that giving out an actual paper card, instead of finding the most expensive gifts-- enhanced their appreciation of the season.
