Tyra Banks and America’s Next Top Model Not Welcomed on Public Transportation

While Tyra Banks may be allowed in a bus she will no longer be allowed on them, at least not in Santa Monica. After receiving numerous complaints about the advertisement depicting Banks and the swimsuit clad contestants of America’s Next Top Model the city opted to remove the marketing.

Stephanie Negriff, director of transit services in Santa Monica, said that many of the complaints surrounded the shows message and the city’s apparent endorsement of a program that was considered disrespectful to women.

The city will be refunding the money the CW network paid for the ad placements.
