Rachel Uchitel is fighting back against her estranged husband’s claims of “cruel and inhumane treatment.” In a statement on Wednesday, Uchitel vowed to “vigorously defend herself” against Matt Hahn’s allegations.
"While it remains Ms. Uchitel's desire to resolve this matter in a private manner, she will, if necessary, with the assistance of her attorneys and public relations counsel, vigorously defend herself against Matt Hahn's false and defamatory claim of 'cruel and inhumane treatment,'" her rep said.
In Hahn’s divorce filing on Monday he stated that “the conduct of the defendant [Rachel] so endangers the physical or mental well being of the plaintiff as renders it unsafe or improper for the plaintiff to cohabit with the defendant.” The insurance executive is said to be seeking full custody of their 1-year-old daughter Wyatt as well as child and spousal support.
Uchitel shot to fame in 2010 when her affair with Tiger Woods was revealed. She wed Hahn in October 2011 and gave birth to Wyatt in May 2012. This is her second marriage. Her first marriage in 2004 to childhood friend Steven Ehrenkranz lasted for just 4 months.
