NBA Scores: Dallas Mavericks Overcome Big Night from LeBron, Beat Cleveland Cavaliers for 14th Straight
The Dallas Mavericks (49-9) use all their weapons on Thursday night to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers (33-25) 95-92. Dirk Nowitzki finished with 24 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists while Jason Terry added 20 points and Josh Howard finished with 17 points and 10 boards in the win.
The Mavericks looked to be in control as they headed into the fourth quarter up 74-62 but LeBron James continued to pour in points and brought the Cavs to within three and a chance to cut the deficit to one. James then missed two free-throws and while Cleveland got the ball back LeBron missed a three-point attempt, he then had another shot after getting the rebound but came up short again.
LeBron finished with 39 points but he had another tough night at the line going 4-8. Cleveland shot 50 percent from the free-throw line while Dallas hit 78 percent from the charity stripe.
The win was the 14th straight for Dallas and their 21st consecutive home win.
