College Basketball AP Top 25: #2 UCLA Bruins Lock up Pac-10 Tile with Win Over #13 Washington State

The #2 UCLA Bruins (26-3) scored 11 points in the first four minutes and then scored a total of 12 points over the next 16 minutes but still managed to beat the Washington State Cougars (23-6) 53-45.

After the slow first half the Bruins opened it up in the second half and hit 11 of their first 14 shots to pull away from the Cougars. Washington State struggled to get their offense going failing to score until four minutes had elapsed in the second.

The Cougars were able to cut the Bruins lead to 47-43 with just over three-minutes left but UCLA got a bucket from Mbah a Moute to keep the lead safe.

Arron Afflalo finished with 14 points for the Bruins and Josh Shipp added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the win.

UCLA wrapped up their second consecutive Pac-10 title and are in solid position to earn a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament.
