Each year, the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival offers an opportunity to build relationships with independent producers and directors from around the world. The Broward Film Commission takes advantage of this chance to develop future film prospects for Greater Fort Lauderdale by planning and coordinating events where one-on one discussion can take place with the filmmakers.
In keeping with Film Florida's mission of promoting and stimulating the indigenous film making community, Film Florida is proud to have partnered with the State's Office of Film and Entertainment, members and local business to support the 2009 Fort Lauderdale Film Festival (FLIFF) and Sunshine Celluloid. This program highlights recent films completed throughout Florida by Florida-based filmmakers. Twenty-five Florida filmmakers who are in town to participate in the annual Sunshine Celluloid portion of the festival will be hosted. Guests will be interviewed by O2 Media aspiring producers about their films that have been selected for the Festival. O2 Media along with Film Florida and Broward County Film Commission are sponsoring a Filmmaker Brunch on Friday, November 6th Location is 02 Media Production Studios located in Pompano Beach.
