Proud new parents JoAnna Garcia and Nick Swisher are showing off their newborn daughter. Garcia released the first picture of 4-week-old Emerson Jay Tuesday afternoon on Twitter. In the photo, Emerson is covered by a purple blanket as she sleeps in a wicker basket.
"Who's ready to see Emerson Jay Swisher?!" the actress wrote. "Nick and I would like you all to meet our little angel."
Emerson is the first child for Garcia and the Cleveland Indians baseball star. Garcia, 33, announced her pregnancy last November on Twitter. "Nick and I are expecting our first baby in 2013! Feeling so blessed and beyond excited!" she wrote at the time.
After Emerson’s arrival in late May, the couple released a statement to People magazine. “We are overjoyed, blessed and so full of love that our daughter Emme has finally arrived,” they said. “She is healthy, beautiful and vibrant. It’s the best feeling in the world.”
