Anna Nicole Smith Buried Next to Son in Bahamas
Anna Nicole Smith was buried next to her son, Daniel, in the Bahamas on Friday. It has been just over three-weeks since the former Playboy Playmate died in a Florida hotel and her burial was a subject of courtroom battle between her mother, Virgie Arthur, and Howard K. Stern.
Stern had asserted that Smith had expressed her desire to be buried next to Daniel. Her son died just days after she gave birth to a baby girl, Dannielynn in September while in the Bahamas.
The funeral for Anna Nicole Smith, 39, attracted a wide variety of curious onlookers with many tourists to the island mixed in with locals. In an almost surreal moment the onlookers broke out in boos when Virgie arrived at the cemetery. In contrast, when Larry Birkhead, one of the men claiming paternity of Dannielynn, arrived he was cheered.
Eventually the white hearse carrying the mahogany casket draped in rhinestone-studded pink blanket arrived and was carried under a green tent that housed the mourners and blocked the publics view.
