Narconon Freedom Center hosted its First Annual Open House in recognition of Red Ribbon Week on October 25th 2009 in their newly renovated facility. The event provided visitors a tour of the newly remodeled facility as well as information about the Narconon program and how Narconon has successfully handled drug and alcohol addiction for over 40 years.
Some of the areas that received a facelift were the cafeteria, the intake office, the common lounge, the weight room and the nursing area. In addition, the lobby has remodeled as well as other common area for clients.
"We truly enjoyed having visitors to our facility and being able to promote our many services to the community,” said Megan Brennan, Dissemination Supervisor for Narconon Freedom Center. “We are very proud to open our doors to the public, especially this week in recognition of Red Ribbon Week."
Each person that visited the center received a tour that included a look at the New Life Detoxification Program and was shown how the sauna is used to safely help eliminate drug residuals in students with an end result of greater mental alertness and increased physical energy. Tours were also given of the learning areas where Narconon clients are taught life skills and practical steps they can use to deal with barriers to recovery so that they can achieve permanent sobriety from drug abuse.
The final step of the tour was the cafeteria where the many nutritious meals are prepared and good times and successes shared and the visitors themselves were served.
The Narconon program has been in operation for 7 years in the state of Michigan and has helped several thousand clients get their lives back and fully recover from substance abuse.
