3 Feet from Gold Brings Together Four Great Women
Bobbi DePorter, co-founder of SuperCamp and president of Quantum Learning Nework, joined Sharon, Loral Langemeier, author of The Millionaire Maker, and DC Cordova, CEO of Excellerated, for the launch, which took place at the Grove of Anaheim.
Each of these women have achieved great success while helping others realize their full potential. Unlike her peers, Ms. DePorter has focused on helping young people through her academic summer camps and Quantum Learning for Students school programs.
Ms. DePorter has operated pre-teen and teen summer camps since 1982, with over 53,000 students having graduated from the summer enrichment program in that time. In recent years, she has addressed a demand from parents to help prepare students for success in college by launching Quantum U, a college summer camp program for incoming and current college students.
Quantum Learning Network's school programs are directed at students, teachers and school administrators. Each of these programs focuses on learning skills, life skills and character development built around Ms. DePorter's 8 Keys of Excellence, eight principles to live by.
Students who attend SuperCamp also learn about the 8 Keys and see them modeled for the duration of the 7- and 10-day programs by the SuperCamp staff. The 8 Keys are Integrity, Failure Leads to Success, Speak with Good Purpose, This Is It!, Commitment, Ownership, Flexibility and Balance.
Through the non-profit organziation Ms. DePorter and her husband, Joe Chapon, started, schools can implement a yearlong character education program called Communities of Excellence that utilizes the 8 Keys.
