Even without Shawn Marion in the lineup the Phoenix Suns (45-14) had little trouble with the Indiana Pacers (29-28), pounding their overmatched Eastern Conference opponent 115-90.
Steve Nash finished with 23 points and 7 assists, Amare Stoudemire added 23 and grabbed 10 rebounds, and Kurt Thomas pulled down 15 boards as the Suns dominated at home. The Suns finished with seven players scoring in double figures and shot 52 percent from the field in the win.
After a tight first quarter Phoenix opened it up in the second and went into halftime with a 13 point lead. Phoenix never allowed the Pacers to cut into their lead and continued to hit the open shot in the second half.
Indiana struggled from the floor, hitting just 38 percent of their shots and they were never able to establish anything down low. When they did go to the paint Phoenix usually answered with a block, they finished the game with seven blocked shots.
