Jessica Simpson’s family officially expanded over the weekend with the birth of Ace Knute Johnson. The baby boy was delivered via C-section in Los Angeles on Sunday. He is the second child for Simpson and her fiancé Eric Johnson. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Maxwell, in May 2012.
"Ace Knute Johnson has arrived! Mom and baby are doing great. Jessica, Eric and Maxwell are thrilled to welcome the new addition to their family,” Simpson’s rep tells Us Weekly magazine.
Ace’s middle name pays tribute to Eric’s Swedish grandfather, Knute Johnson.
Simpson confirmed her pregnancy last December and accidentally revealed the baby’s gender on Jimmy Kimmel Live in March. "The crazy thing is I never knew a wiener could make me nauseous," she joked. "Well, I guess I just told the world that I'm having a boy!"
At her baby shower in April, the Fashion Star mentor said she was “so excited to have a son.” “I didn’t grow up with a brother and I think the unknown is really exciting. I can’t wait to have that connection with our little man,” she said.
