Become the Next American Idol

Don’t Wait for the Chance to be 1 out of 100,000 on American Idol!

New York, NY – Tens of thousands of people line up for cattle calls all over the USA, hoping  to be chosen for a chance at a one-million dollar recording contract. But only  one will take home the big prize. What about the others? Will they go back home  to Anywhere, USA  with their tail between their legs, never to be heard from again? Or will they  take control of their own career and propel themselves to the top without  Simon, Paula, or Randy’s help?

Performer and author Jaci  Rae went the Do-It-Yourself route, and built a successful music career the hard  way. She knows what it’s like to navigate the confusing and dangerous curves of  the music business, and shares her knowledge and step-by-step methods for  success in The Indie Guide to Music,  Marketing and Money.

“Musicians who want to  record their first record usually have no idea how much it should cost to book  a session, rent equipment, copy CD’s, print labels, or any of the other items  necessary to complete their project,” Jaci says. “They need to know exactly  what these costs are or they’ll become sitting ducks for rip-off artists.”

Another mistake that new DIY  (Do-It Yourself) musicians make is jumping at the offer of contributing a song  to a compilation album, an album comprised of one song apiece by a number of  artists.

“Ninety percent of the time,  this is a waste of the artist’s time and money,” says Jaci, “because the album  is never promoted, and it becomes nothing more than a cash cow for the  producer.”

Jaci Rae’s grit and determination  brought her from a poor childhood to a successful singer and performer who  tours around the world. She is the recipient of the "Female Vocalist of  the Year" award at the Golden Music Awards in Nashville, as well as a Barnes and Noble and  Amazon #1 Best seller.

She is the author of The Indie Guide to Music, Marketing and  Money, as well as Winning Points  With The Woman In Your Life One Touchdown At A Time. Jaci lives in California where she  spends her spare time working on her music, writing and hanging out with family  and friends.  For more information, go to  http://www.jacirae.com
